Why Me?
Each adventure is led by me. As a Fear Free, Certified Professional Dog Trainer, I have years of experience managing group settings, while using positive reinforcement to interrupt undesirable behaviors and reinforce good ones.
Not a typical dog daycare. I am committed to a positive and stress free learning environment. All dogs are given the option to opt out of socialization.
Each dog is grouped by age, size and personality and each dog is encouraged to play appropriately. We spend most of our time together exploring, hiking, scavenging and sniffing through the woods.
Not a typical dog walk. Whether your dog loves to run or loves sniffaris in nature, adventures provide enrichment to help your dog live his or her life to the fullest!
Guaranteed safety and supervision. To maintain a high degree of supervision and a level of understanding dog socialization and behavior, there is no more than 4-5 dogs per outing.

About Me
Miriam Lee, CPDT-KA, Fear Free Certified Animal Trainer
Dogs have always been a significant part of my life, as my previous dog was a rescue Jindo named Jenna, who taught me resilience and adaptability. I learned how to grieve the dog I had hoped for, how to advocate for her special needs and how important consent is in dog-to-human interactions. I also own a 5-year-old Maine Coon rescue named Jasper.
I have been in the industry for over 12 years and I am committed to building trusting relationships with dogs and their owners. In 2024, I designed this adventure program based on my love of being physically active in the woods and deep understanding of canine behavior.
With a specialization in reactivity, I know how to:
● Confidently manage group settings
● Interpret body language (calming signals, posturing)
● Reinforce polite trail manners
● Use motivation to recall dogs
● Properly utilize longlines/draglines
● Provide structured socialization
● Interrupt play that can border on overarousal
● Help unconfident dogs to think for themselves, while building confidence out in the world

FAQ’s
-
I allow a maximum of 4-5 dogs, depending on their temperament, age, size and hiking ability.
-
I take each dog on a trial hike during the onboarding process. Dogs that have a reliable recall and know how to safely navigate and appropriately interact with others are allowed off leash.
I use drag lines, long lines and leashes for those that are anxious in new environments, are at risk of taking flight or are currently working towards being off leash. -
Dogs are only taken to off-leash permitted hiking destinations in the Greater Boston area. This is to respect the earth, preserve trails and to keep everyone out of harm’s way.
-
For adventures, I offer a free 15 min. phone consultation before scheduling a meet-and-greet, which can be setup on the same day as a trial group hike.
-
All dogs must be fully vaccinated, have a reliable recall (for off-leash clients) and generally enjoy the company of other dogs.
In order to keep everyone safe, even if muzzle trained, I cannot allow dogs with a bite history of other dogs.
-
That’s okay! I can help you and your dog get there, through recall training, learning how to use longlines and more, until he or she can reliably be let off leash!
